After completing the summer session of the Knesset factions, Likud and the «Kulanu» came to an agreement that will serve the controversial bills in the next session, according to Haaretz.
According to published information, the two factions agreed to cooperate. According to «Haaretz», the head of the coalition David Bitan met several times with the head of the faction «Kulanu» ROI-Volkmann. Leaders of the factions agreed to avoid situations that could lead to the collapse of the coalition.
According to «Haaretz», in both parties interest to prevent the holding of early elections in 2018. At the same time, in the Likud and in the «Kulanu» I understand that elections can be a result of the investigations against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
On July 26, concluded its summer session of the Knesset. During this session, often there are disagreements between MPs from the «Likud» and «Kulanu» on a number of bills. In particular, the «Kulan» for a long time blocked the bill on the Jewish character of the state. During the discussion held yesterday, representatives of the party stated that it opposed the draft bill according to which in cases of dispute, the high court should give priority to Jewish law.
