The Ministry of defence of Lithuania announced the signing of a contract for the purchase of Israel five radars short range in the amount of 2.8 million euros with the delivery until the end of 2019.
The report said that the cost of two of the five radars paid by private enterprises engaged in the construction of wind power plants to compensate for the negative impact of these plants on the ability of air defense radars to monitor air targets.
Last time Lithuania has purchased Israeli weapons in 2016. Then a contract was signed for the supply of weapon systems SAMSON Mk II with remote control, equipped with 30-millimeter cannon, machine gun and 7.62 anti-tank missile systems Spike in long-range modifications for 88 Boxer armored personnel carriers.
