The head of the Palestinian national authority Mahmoud Abbas announced June 28 a day of mourning for those killed in an accident on the 60 freeway. This was reported by the official news Agency Wafa Ramallah.
The accident, which killed six residents of the Palestinian authority, including three children, occurred on highway 60 between the settlements of Givat Assaf and Ofra.
According to preliminary investigation, the driver of taxis with Palestinian license plates lost control of the vehicle and crossed into the oncoming lane, where it crashed into an Israeli bus. Then the bus hit another Palestinian car.
In this accident injured two people: 17-year-old Palestinian teenager and the bus driver. They rushed to Jerusalem hospital «Hadassah Ar-Zophim» and «Hadassah Ein Kerem».
At the time of the accident the bus had no passengers.
It was the second serious accident at the 60 freeway in the last seven days. On Friday, June 23, near the village of kokhav ya’akov was a collision of two cars, with Palestinian and Israeli license plates. In the crash killed three residents of the Palestinian authority, an Israeli driver received injuries of moderate severity.
