Last Saturday, the new York city police arrested 25-year-old African American from Brooklyn Michael Sykes, a suspect in the murder of the homeless Rebecca Cutler, 26, and her two daughters – one-year-old Siani, and 4-month-old Mali. A third child, 2-year-old miracle, was wounded, but survived.
The hunt for a suspect in the murder began last Wednesday, wrote on Sunday, 14 February, the newspaper the New York Times.
The massacre took place at the Ramada Motel, located in the WILLOWBROOK area. To date, Sykes, who is in a police station Staten island, has been charged with killing three people, attempted murder and robbery.
During the investigation it became clear that Sykes is the father of Mali, her two sisters were born from another father, and that was the reason for the murder: the murderer was jealous of Rebecca and killed her in a fit of rage.
