Media: Cristiano Ronaldo faces up to five years in prison for tax fraud

Cristiano Ronaldo faces a prison term of 15 months to five years for tax evasion and financial fraud, according to Marca.

The Prosecutor’s office believes that the player hid from the taxes of 15 million Euro between 2011-14, according to British newspaper the Telegraph.

For the removal of the money received for the use of the image of Cristiano Ronaldo, from taxation, were used by banks in the virgin Islands.

Media noted that the Portuguese cooperates with the tax authorities and is ready to pay a fine.

The tax Agency of Spain requires to pay a fine in the amount of 16 million euros.

The investigation began in 2015.
