The terrorist organization Hamas, which controls Gaza over the past 10 years, initiated work on the creation of a buffer zone along the border of the sector with Egypt, according to Israeli site Ynet, citing sources in Gaza. Palestinian media, including those belonging to Hamas, has not yet commented on this information.
According to Ynet, on the border with Egypt is planned to create such a buffer zone on the border with Israel. The agreement about this was reached at the recent talks between the leaders of Hamas and the leadership of power structures of Egypt in Cairo.
The talks took place a few weeks ago. The Hamas delegation was first headed by Yahya Sanwar, who succeeded Ismail Haniyeh at the head of the administration of the Gaza strip. Then Palestinian sources said that no concrete agreements in the course of negotiations has not been reached.
