Thursday, August 3, magistrate’s court in Rishon LeZion issued an injunction on the publication of any details of the negotiations with Ari Haro, former head of the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his lawyers to grant him the status of a state witness on business 1000 and 2000.
Judge Einat Ron has satisfied the request of the police to prohibit the publication of any information that is disclosed in these negotiations. The ban on publication imposed until 17 September.
As writes portal Ynet, the effect of the injunction does not apply to information that has been published so far.
Portal Ynet also quotes the court’s decision, which implies that Netanyahu is suspected of bribery and betrayal of public trust. About the same according to the Walla News website NRG, Haaretz and other media.
From the environment, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was told: «We categorically reject flimsy and based on nothing statements that are against the Prime Minister. The hunt, which aims to lead to the change of power in the country, is in full swing, but it is doomed to failure for one reason: nothing will happen, because nothing happened.»
A new ban was issued by the court two days later after approved the request of the police banning the publication of any details relating to a «matter of submarines» («case of 3000»). In particular, the prohibition applies to the publication of data derived from a state’s witness Mickey Ganora and investigative activities held on the basis of the obtained information from him. This prohibition also will be valid until September 17. Note that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is not a defendant in the «case of the submarines».
The correspondent of the 2nd channel, Moshe Nussbaum, notes that at present it is unclear what data can inform the consequence of Ari Haro, who is suspected in the case, not connected with the cases against Benjamin Netanyahu. But, it is supposed that he has important information. These assumptions are based on the fact that the Prosecutor’s office initiated negotiations with Haro on granting it the status of Gassville, and his lawyer. The offer was made a few months ago, but only recently the Prosecutor’s office decided to use its help.
