In the evening of 9 December, the website Ynet , and later other publications reported that in the attack in Samaria, were injured 60-year-old wife Rachel and Shaul NIR. Shaul NIR was one of four members of the «Jewish underground,» which in 1983 launched an attack on the Islamic College in Hebron.
In the attack, Shaul NIR was severely wounded.
On July 26, 1983, four members of the Jewish underground attacked the Islamic College in Hebron, killing two teachers and a student, and wounding more than thirty others.
Shaul NIR was sentenced to life imprisonment. But first term was cut short by Israel’s President Chaim Herzog to 24, then to 15, and in 1989 — 10 years.
