Previously, there was concern that the fighting in al-Bab, which was released and Syrian troops and the opposition, can lead to fighting between supporters and opponents of President Bashar al-Assad and to the disruption of the truce, case to comply with from December 30, 2016.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the Turkish army and its Syrian allies control about 40% of the settlement, including much of the urban center.
Note that Turkey has repeatedly denied reports of contacts with the regime of Bashar al-Assad. However, its rapprochement with Russia, a major patron of the Syrian President, could result in an overhaul to the regime.
