Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on December 21 signed a decree on the introduction of retaliatory sanctions against Ukraine, particularly about the food embargo, which will come into force on 1 January 2016, according to TASS.
This decision, as previously announced, was made in response to the annexation of Kiev to the anti-Russian sanctions.
Moreover, Medvedev signed a decree on the introduction of most favored nation regime is the Treaty on free trade zone with Ukraine.
«From 1 January 2016 in respect of Ukraine will be applied import duties under the common customs tariff of the EEU, that is, Ukraine will apply the most favoured nation treatment without any exceptions. All preferences go in the past, benefits will not be», — TASS quoted Medvedev.
