Member «Orekhovo-Medvedkovo» criminal gang suspected of committing five murders in 1990-e years, was detained in the Vladimir region.
«Investigative agencies of the Main investigation Department of the investigative Committee of the Russian Federation the city of Moscow continues investigation of the criminal case against participants of the «Orekhovo» and «Medvedkovo» groups, who in the early ’90s, a series of murders and others especially grave crimes», – said the Agency «Interfax» the representative of the Moscow Central Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia Yulia Ivanova.
According to her, on Wednesday, July 5, in the Vladimir region, was detained and taken to Moscow Alexander Sharapov, born in 1971, «one of the members of the criminal community, which was in the international wanted list since 2001» on suspicion of the five murders committed between 1994 and 2001. The structure of this criminal group consisted of more than 30 people.
«Crimes were committed with aid of firearms, and with the help of explosives», – said the representative of the UK.
«Currently, the detainee is required a complex investigation. In the near future will be solved the issue of election in respect of the defendant the measure of restraint in form of detention,» – said Ivanov.
