Former Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev was put up for sale his Villa in the Bavarian Alps, reports the Süddeutsche Zeitung.
The Villa, which the family of the former President acquired in 2006, located in a picturesque place on the shore of the lake Tegernsee belongs to Rottach-Egern (Bavaria).
Three-storey house with an area of 600 square meters was built in the early XX century, the area of the infield is approximately 2.5 thousand sq. m. the Cost of the project is estimated at several million euros, RIA Novosti reported.
As told the mayor of the commune, Christian Keck, in recent years Gorbachev rarely frequented in his mansion. When he arrived, the locals could meet him during a walk or in one of the local restaurants.
