Wednesday, 10 February, Minister for religious Affairs David azulai (SHAS party) visited the Outpost of Givat Sorek, near the settlement of karmøy Zuur (gush Etzion), where a synagogue was built in memory of Gilad Sheere, Eagle Image and the Naftali Frenkel, who were kidnapped and murdered by terrorists in June 2014.
February 5, unidentified attackers set fire to the Torah scrolls and the prayer books in the synagogue. The building itself was severely damaged.
The investigation had found the footprints that led in the direction of Hulhule. But the detention of suspects were reported.
This incident sparked an angry reaction from the President and the Prime Minister of Israel. Many politicians, both in coalition and in opposition, condemned the actions of vandals.
Apparently, the Ministry of religious Affairs will assist in the restoration of this synagogue.
The Outpost of Givat Sorek is not far from the place where June 30, 2014 were found the bodies of kidnapped Teens.
