Wednesday, October 4, Reuters published an interview with former head of intelligence in Gaza Muhammad Dahlan, which he gave by telephone from Abu Dhabi.
Dahlan, acting as a mediator in the reconciliation talks between Hamas and Fatah, said that currently it is impossible to talk about resolving the conflict with Israel based on the principle of «two States».
According to him, the actions of the Israeli government and continued settlement construction in Judea and Samaria led to a «Judaization of not only Jerusalem but the entire West coast.»
Dahlan noted that now much more important to deal with the issues of intra-settlement than attempts to resume negotiations with Israel.
Muhammad Dahlan praised Egypt’s role in the negotiations between the warring Palestinian factions.
