«Mysterious sniper» leads the hunt for the leaders of the grouping «Islamic state» in the Libyan city of Sirte, writes the Belgian edition of De Morgen.
The article also says that from 13 to 23 January, a sniper had killed three influential field commanders of IG: the first was a Sudanese national Hamad Abd al-Hadi, head of the local Sharia court, the second, his successor, Abu Muhammad ad-Darawi, and the third Abdullah bin Hamad al-Ansari.
The author of the article citing its own source in Sirte says that the is militants are combing the city, trying to find the sniper, but so far their efforts were fruitless.
Meanwhile, as writes the local edition of the Libya Herald, the elusive killer terrorist leaders has become a folk hero.
Note that this sniper can be one of the foreign military experts, who arrived yesterday in Libya.
Appearing in a London based Saudi newspaper «al-Sharq al-Awsat» wrote on 23 January, to Libya to assist in the fight against IG profits dozens of foreign military specialists. The communication alleged that the matter concerns representatives of the power structures of the USA, great Britain and Russia, and also noted that the soon expected arrival of the French military.
Moscow has denied this information. But Washington confirmed that Libya was target a small group of American military experts.
