The Walla called the Israeli cities with the highest demand for rental housing. The list is based on data classifieds site Yad2.co.il for June 2017.
First place went to Ashdod, where every ad about renting a two-bedroom apartments responded on average 172. This is followed by Rishon LeZion (90), tel Aviv (74), Jerusalem (68) and Netanya (67).
The highest demand for rental of one-bedroom apartments recorded in Holon. Relevant ads attracted an average of 85 potential tenants. In second place Ashdod (78), the third – tel Aviv (69). In the TOP 5 also included Jerusalem (59) and Haifa (53).
A leader in the growth of prices for rental apartments also became Ashdod. Over the year from June 2016 to June 2017 – bedroom apartments in the city rose by 12%, and three – — 9%.
In tel Aviv the price increase was, respectively, 5% and 4%, in Rishon LeZion – 4% and 5%, Jerusalem 3% and 2% in Netanya – 2% and 7%, in beer-Sheva – 0% and 3%.
In Haifa the cost of renting two-bedroom apartments decreased by 1%, and three – bedroom increased by 4%.
