Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Prime Minister Narendra modi met with Moshe Holtzbergs (Zvi), whose parents were killed in the terrorist attack in Mumbai in 2008.
Moshe, who is now 11 years old, told about how he misses distant India, where he was born. Narendra modi promised him that his country will always be open for him.
For his part, Netanyahu was invited by Moses to accompany him during his visit to India.
The press service of the office of the head of the government said that the boy came to meet his grandparents: Nachman and Frieda Holtzberg – father’s side, and Simon and Judith Rosenberg – mother’s side. Also with him came his nanny, Sandra Samuel, who saved his life during the terrorist attacks.
Sandra Samuel, a citizen of India, who worked in the CHABAD mission in Mumbai as a cook, during capture of a building terrorists seized a two-year Israelite and ran with him into the street. Thanks to her, Moshe survived, but his parents, Rabbi Gavriel Noah and Rivka Holtzberg died. Saved the boy’s life, the woman moved to live in Israel.
Sandra told me that two of the terrorists who took hostages in the building and the Nariman Jewish community center CHABAD, tied up their captives, some of whom were injured. But the terrorist decided not to kill the crying of a small child, and reassure him it was impossible. Then they demanded that the sitter came down with the boy in the basement. But the militants have not been able to trace to the end of how down the stairs a nanny.
Not reaching the basement, Sandra saw soldiers army special forces, which shortly before he blockaded the house by the terrorists, and prepared for the assault. They implemented it in a safe place.
