Near the coast of New Zealand on Tuesday, 16 February, an earthquake occurred with magnitude of 6.2.
According to the U.S. Geological survey, the epicenter of the earthquake, recorded at 08:28 local time, was located 219 km North-West of the island of Auckland and 1183 kilometres South-West of Wellington. Hearth lies at a depth of 10 km.
Information on victims and destructions didn’t arrive. A warning about the threat of a tsunami was not published.
