Near the shores of the island state Vanuatu in the Pacific ocean on Thursday, April 14, an earthquake of magnitude 6.5.
According to the U.S. Geological survey, the epicenter of the earthquake was located 88 km North-West of the village of Porto Alri and 407 kilometres North-West of the capital Port Vila. Hearth lies at a depth of 10 km.
Information on victims and destructions didn’t arrive. A warning about the danger of a tsunami was not published.
