The lawyer of a French citizen Mehdi Namusa who committed an armed attack on visitors of the Jewish Museum in Brussels three years ago, held a press conference at which he announced that his client is too ill to stand trial.
According to his lawyer, Mehdi Namusa can be a malignant brain tumor.
According to the materials of the investigation, 32-year-old Nemmush Mehdi 24 may 2014 carried out an armed attack on the visitors and workers of the Jewish Museum in Brussels. The attack killed: a couple from Israel – Emanuel and Miriam Riva, 54 and 53 years, and a volunteer Dominic Sabre (60, a French citizen) and a Museum worker Alexander Strens.
Lawyer Sebastian Courtoy reported that Nemmush Mehdi contained in a single cell, blind and deaf, but despite this, he was the prison administration is denying medical care.
The lawyer also said that for health reasons his client could not appear before the court at least until September 2018.
