The Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu has asked the legal Advisor to the government of Aviha Mandelblit to check the possibility of criminal prosecution of member of Knesset Jamal Zahalka.
The Prime Minister said that the recent statements of MP of the al-Aqsa mosque can be an incitement to violence, reported the press service of the Prime Minister’s office.
Jamal Zahalka in an interview with the Palestinian website, «al-Watan» said that by all means necessary not to let the Israelis into al-Aqsa mosque, and expressed the hope that the Palestinians will continue to protect her and other relics.
In recent times, Israel, Jordan and the PA are trying to agree on the placement of surveillance cameras in the complex of the Temple mount to fix violations of the status quo. The Palestinian side is opposed, fearing that the camera will allow Israeli security forces to track and arrest Arab rioters to al-Aqsa mosque.
