The Israeli government led by Benjamin Netanyahu commented on his page on Facebook, the recent events connected with the police investigation of the so-called Affairs of 1.000, 2.000 and 3.000.
Netanyahu said it does not comment on the background noise and continues to work for the good of society.
Thus the head of state commented on the day before the news that, according to the court, Netanyahu is suspected of bribery and betrayal of public trust, as well as the signing of an agreement between the public Prosecutor and Ari Haro on providing the latest status of a state witness on business 1000 and 2000.
We will remind, on Thursday, August 3, magistrate’s court in Rishon LeZion issued an injunction on the publication of any details of the negotiations with Ari Haro, former head of the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his lawyers to grant him the status of a state witness on business 1000 and 2000.
Judge Einat Ron has satisfied the request of the police to prohibit the publication of any information that is disclosed in these negotiations. The ban on publication imposed until 17 September.
Meanwhile, Israeli media reported that the effect of the injunction does not apply to information that has been published so far, quoting the court’s decision, which implies that Netanyahu is suspected of bribery and betrayal of public trust.
A new ban was issued by the court two days later after approved the request of the police banning the publication of any details relating to a «matter of submarines» («case of 3000»). In particular, the prohibition applies to the publication of data derived from a state’s witness Mickey Ganora and investigative activities held on the basis of the obtained information from him. This prohibition also will be valid until September 17. Note that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is not a defendant in the «case of the submarines».
A day later, on August 4, the public Prosecutor’s office signed an agreement with the former chief of staff of the Prime Minister’s office Ari Haro on granting it the status of a state’s witness. Haro had to testify a few weeks in exchange for leniency on charges against him.
