On the eve of his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, which will take place tomorrow, August 23, in Sochi, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held consultations on security issues.
Netanyahu said that one of the topics of discussion will be the strengthening of Iran in Syria.
«Tomorrow I, along with the head of «Mossad» and the head of the national security Council meet with the President of Russia Vladimir Putin. I will discuss Iran’s attempts to rapidly build its military bases in Syria. This, of course, evidence of Iranian aggression, which did not decrease after the «nuclear deal», and that aggression is a problem not only for Israel but for the whole world», — quotes the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s press service.
We will note that earlier media reported that Benjamin Netanyahu’s trip to Russia in addition to the Director of the foreign intelligence service «Mossad» Yossi Cohen will accompany the Minister of environment and Minister of Jerusalem Affairs Zeev Elkin.
Recall that Cohen recently returned from Washington, where they discussed the situation in Syria with the us leadership.
