On Wednesday evening, January 20, the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu met in Davos with the CEO of Hewlett-Packard (HP) Meg Whitman.
As the press service of the head of government, Netanyahu praised the working relationship and the relationship HP has with Israel and listed a number of reasons that make mutually beneficial cooperation in the sphere of high technologies.
The Prime Minister spoke to Mrs. Whitman about the potential expansion of the company’s operations in the Northern and southern regions of Israel. The General Director mentioned during the meeting multi-annual commitments and constancy in relations with Israel, which had invested billions of shekels. The state of the company’s employees in Israel employs more than 5,000 people. Whitman said that Israel appreciates the initiative and innovation that make an important contribution to the work of HP worldwide.
During the meeting they discussed the expansion of the company’s activity in Israel in the field of 3D printing and in the field of cybertechnology.
Before meeting with Mrs. Whitman, Benjamin Netanyahu held talks with CEO and founder of Uber Travis Kalencom.
On the morning of 21 January, will meet with Netanyahu, Vice-President of the United States Joe Biden, and then he will meet with Secretary of state John Kerry. Also scheduled to meet with recently took office of the President of Argentina Mauricio Macri, the Prime Minister of the Netherlands and other political and economic world leaders, among them Chairman of the Board of Directors of Google, Eric Schmidt.
The Prime Minister will hold a separate, devoted to the issues of cybersecurity meeting with the General Directors and high managerial personnel of companies in the sphere of tiberindwa. The main topic of discussion during this meeting will be the problem of cyber threats in the field of cyber-physical systems and information security, as well as their impact on the development and application of innovative technologies. In the process of discussion will be considered by the economic, social and strategic risks associated with cyber threats. In addition, the participants will discuss specific ways of cooperation between government and the private sector for further development and promotion of cybertechnology for the benefit and prosperity of the world economy.

Also, the Prime Minister will participate in a public conversation with the interviewer and a leading commentator on CNN Farid Zakarīyā the Central stage of the world economic forum.
Netanyahu will present to the public the opportunities that Israel has to offer multinational companies and will pay particular attention to the technological mobility of the Israeli hi-tech industry. The purpose of the Prime Minister — to expand cooperation of these companies with Israeli companies and to stimulate investment and the acquisition in Israel.
