On Tuesday, March 21, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Deputy Prime Minister China Liu Yandong took part in the third Israeli-Chinese conference on innovation, held this year in Beijing.
«Netanyahu said that the Conference on innovation is vital for relations between the two countries, it paved the way for two new areas – the creation of the NDRC (Israeli-Chinese Committee for economic cooperation) and the negotiations on the agreement on free trade zone between Israel and China. These areas reflect the cooperation in the field of science, entrepreneurship and innovation, which is the basis of bilateral relations», – said the press service of the head of the government.
«Three common symptom of China and Israel, said Netanyahu, is the ancient traditions and culture, trade and a desire to succeed, commitment to continuous improvement. To three of these signs were added two more – investment in science and innovation. This combination will ensure the continued prosperity of the two countries. Our innovative collaboration can be compared with the yeast in the dough for the pie of Chinese-Israeli relations, the activity of which contributes to its rise and increase quality.»
In the conference took part the Minister of science and technology Ofir Akunis, Minister of economy Ali Cohen, environment Minister Zeev Elkin and Minister of health Yaakov litzman, Director General of the Prime Minister’s office, Eli Gruner, Director General of the Ministry of justice Amy Palmer and head of innovation AVI Hasson.
