Netanyahu refused to meet with the Minister of foreign Affairs of Belgium

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has canceled a scheduled meeting with Belgian foreign Minister Didier Reynders, according to Israeli media.

According to published information, Netanyahu, who also held the post of Minister of foreign Affairs, was to meet with his Belgian counterpart next week, during the visit Reynders in Israel. After Israeli officials announced that the meeting will not take place, the visit was postponed indefinitely.

In the office of the head of the government claim that the meeting was canceled due to «heavy schedule of the head of the government.»

The tenth channel ITV reported, citing diplomatic sources in Jerusalem that the decision to cancel the meeting was taken, as Belgium is one of the countries that initiated the marking of goods made in Judea and Samaria.

On 29 November it was reported that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the Foreign Ministry to reconsider the issue of cooperation with the European Union in all that relates to the settlement of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
Netanyahu has ordered to freeze contacts with the EU and its institutions before the foreign Ministry and the government developed a new strategy.

The reason of cooling of relations was the decision of the EU on labeling Israeli goods produced beyond the so-called «green line».

In the Israeli Foreign Ministry told reporters that cooperation with individual countries such as the UK, Germany and France, will continue. However, will terminate contacts with representatives of these countries in the EU.
