Sunday, February 11, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu commented on the incident that took place last weekend in the North of Israel.
Opening the weekly Cabinet meeting, the Prime Minister said: «yesterday We struck powerful blows on the Iranian and Syrian forces. We unequivocally clear to all that the rules under which we operate have not changed one iota. We will continue to attack those who are trying to attack us. That was our policy in the past, so it will continue,» — said the head of government.
Netanyahu added that he spoke with the co-driver, who received minor injuries, leaving the falling F-16i «Sufa». «I was very glad to hear that he stands firmly on his feet in the truest sense of the word, and that the condition of the pilot there has been an improvement,» said Netanyahu.
Earlier, speaking at a meeting of Ministers from the «Likud», Netanyahu also touched on the situation in the North. «We reiterated our red lines and we will continue to act in accordance with them,» he said.
