Before leaving for Paris, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said: «on Friday I spoke with the parents of two of our heroes-police officers killed on the Temple mount. I gave them warm hugs from all the citizens of Israel and sympathy for their terrible grief. Even before the Saturday I gave instructions to destroy the tents of grieving established by the relatives of these vile terrorists. Before leaving, I held a meeting with the leadership of the security structures and instructed to install metal detectors at the entrances to the temple mount. We place outside the Temple mount security cameras that provide the ability to control almost everything that happens there. I decided that as part of our policy of preserving the status quo, we will progressively open access to the temple mount, but with elevated security measures.
Today I’m flying to Paris for a meeting with President Makron. We will take part in the ceremony dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the deportation of the Jews of Paris to the death camps. It was the first step in the destruction of the Jews of France.
From Paris I fly to Budapest to meet with the leaders of Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. We are strengthening ties with countries in five continents — Asia, Africa, Australia, North and South America, but the strengthening of ties with European countries is also very important for us.»
