Experts have added this chemical compound in culture of human cells that were infected with vaccinia virus. An infectious agent has similarities with the dangerous virus of smallpox, but not considered deadly, so it is often used as a model object. As it turned out, the high content of resveratrol in the cells did not allow the virus to multiply in the early stages of infection.
The researchers found that resveratrol stimulates the activity of splicing factors – maturation mRNA. After using resveratrol aging cells began to rejuvenate – they have recovered the cycle and increased telomere length.
