The Prosecutor’s office and former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert came to a pretrial agreement in a case in which he is accused of creating interference in the investigation and the work of the court. Under the agreement, Ehud Olmert pleads guilty in two paragraphs. He will be sentenced to six months imprisonment and a fine in the amount of 50 thousand shekels.
The website Ynet said that Olmert and his lawyers managed to achieve that this term was not added to the term in the case Talansky and Holyland, and absorbed much time. Thus, if the Supreme court left in force the verdict on the case Talansky, in which Olmert was sentenced to eight months in prison, in jail, he will spend 14 months, resulting in the summation of terms, but just eight months.
Radio station «Sieves Beth» said that two cases — case Talansky and «Rishontours» – are in the process of consideration. Tuesday, January 19, the Supreme court will consider the appeal Olmert on the verdict in the case Talansky.
