The police arrested the President of the Royal Spanish football Federation (RFEF) angel Maria Villar and his son, the Hill on suspicion of corruption, reports Football Espana.
The detention of high-ranking football officials occurred on July 18.
67-year-old Villar is suspected of using the means of the Federation to bribe voters and ensure victory during the elections of the President of the REFF.
The investigation lasted about three months. Civil guard tapped the suspects ‘ phones.
Angel Maria Villar manages Spanish football since 1988. In the last election he defeated Jorge Perez. Recall, Villar was among the candidates for the post of UEFA President.
