Oracle announced the purchase of Israeli start-up company Ravello Systems operating in the field of so-called cloud (cloud computing – data processing technology that provide the user computer resources like Internet service).
The transaction value is estimated by different sources from 430 to 500 million dollars, making it one of the largest in the Israeli high tech market since the beginning of 2016.
It should be noted that during the four years of its existence, Ravello Systems mobilized from investors a total of 54 million dollars.
The main shareholders were its founders benny Schnaider and Rami Tamir, each of whom will receive from the sale approximately $ 100 million and venture capital funds Sequoia Capital and NVP.
The company employs about 70 employees in Israel and in the United States. A few months ago Business Insider Ravello Systems have included in the list of the 27 most promising startups.
