The University of Delaware has dismissed part-time lecturer Katherine dettwyler that said, Otto Warmbier who spent a year in a labor camp North Korea and died a few days after homecoming, «he got what he deserved».
It is also forbidden to resume work at the school, wrote on Monday, June 26, edition of The Delaware News Journal.
Dettweiler who taught at this University anthropology, criticized Warmbier in social networks and in comments on the National Review website where was published the news of the death of an American student.
«These are the same kids who complain about low scores, because they are sure that they do not need to learn the material to get a good mark. And to blame his parents, who instilled in him that he can not do whatever they want. Maybe so in the USA where young, white, rich and ignorant men with impunity, rape women, but not in North Korea», – quotes the edition of the text, which Dettwiler published in the social network Facebook.
The Professor also claimed that Warmbier behaved like «a spoiled, naive and arrogant American student, who was not accustomed to answer for their actions» – for which he paid with his life.
A few days earlier, the University issued a statement in which he criticized the statements of the lecturer.
