24-year-old Muslim Abdul-Latif al-Barghouti, a student at the University of bir Zeit (North of Ramallah), created a model of a cleaning robot designed to clean dust from solar panels, according to the Palestinian Safa news Agency.
The publication notes that the problem of pollution of solar panels is seriously concerned about the people in the Palestinian authority, which are systems of Autonomous energy supply. Because of the dust, the efficiency of these batteries is markedly reduced, and the cleaning requires considerable time and effort.
Muslim al-Barghouti has developed a robot that can clean dusty solar panels without human intervention.
Judging by the published videos, maneuvering the robot al-Barghouti determines the boundaries of the field that he needs to clean. Since we are talking about the platform on wheels to move it can only on a horizontal surface or at a slight incline (however, Israel and the PA panel of the battery is often placed on the roofs this way). Apparently, the robot has no system of recognition or dusty clean the surface. In addition, the robot is limited in scope by the volume of the tank of mini vacuum cleaner. And this from bird droppings cleaner won’t cure.
However, this development 12th of February was presented to the public.
Safa notes that al-Barghouti, who created this robot for eight months, three times interrupted his studies at the University of bir Zeit because of the fact that he was detained by Israeli law enforcement. The reasons for the arrests in the publication are not specified.
