This Sunday the Congress of the Russian opposition party Yabloko have decided to put forward its founder Grigory Yavlinsky candidate on the post of the President of Russia in 2018, thus supporting a proposal of the political Affairs Committee of the party, made in June 2015.

Earlier, ex-leader of RPR-PARNAS Vladimir Ryzhkov and the Deputy of the state Duma from party «Fair Russia» Dmitry Gudkov has declared that is ready to support the candidacy of Grigory Yavlinsky in the event of his nomination.
The newspaper «Kommersant» said that the program of the party «Yabloko» in the elections to the Duma will be a program of Yavlinsky with his nomination for the presidency in 2018.
«Team party develops and contribute to a broad discussion constructive and professional program… Program will form the basis of action as our faction in the state Duma 2016-2021 years, and our candidate for President of the Russian Federation on elections in 2018 Yavlinsky,» said the Chairman of the party Emilia Slabunov.
Recall that the MP Dmitry Gudkov and former Deputy speaker Vladimir Ryzhkov will participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections as candidates from the party «Yabloko». Talks about pre-election coalition between Yabloko and PARNAS continue.
Note also that in 2012 the Central election Commission of the Russian Federation officially refused to register Yavlinsky as a candidate for President of Russia. The decision to refuse registration was made on the basis of checking signature sheets collected in support of nomination of Grigory Yavlinsky, said the CEC. After the inspection of the second sample of subscription lists to the CEC rejected 25,66% of signatures, which is much higher than the permitted 5%.
