The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed a law allowing applicants from the Crimea to enter the Ukrainian universities. On Saturday, June 3, reported the presidential press service.
According to the law, which the Verkhovna Rada adopted on may 16, graduates from Crimea will be able to enroll in universities of Zaporizhzhya, Mykolaiv, Odesa and Kherson regions, where they set a quota in a thousand places. To residents of Crimea in universities are based on entrance exams, reports RIA Novosti.
The law comes into force the day after publication, and a month after that it will be put into action.
