In 2015, the police officer Jody Thompson from Oklahoma arrived on a call after a reported case of abuse with a child. He was shocked when he saw John, a seriously ill 8-year-old boy, beaten and with their hands bound, in a dumpster full of cold water, writes the Daily Mail.
Thompson wrapped the boy in a blanket and taken to the hospital, where the child is immediately put in the ICU. The officer called in the Department of social services state of Oklahoma, to announce his intention to become a foster dad John. The biological parents of John were arrested, and soon deprived of parental rights.
From the hospital the boy came to a new house where Jody Thompson lived with his wife Ginny and two children, who were 15 and 8 years.
Seven months later, Thompson got a call from the Department of social services to find out if he wants to take care of younger sister of John, Paisley, was born in prison. Thompson and his wife expressed their willingness to become parents and for her. Almost simultaneously it became known that his wife Jodi pregnant with my third child.
