Polish «Viking» denies doping and says he didn’t pay for the fight against Povetkin

November 4, Mariusz Wach in Kazan lost the fight for the WBC Silver Russian Alexander Povetkin. After that, reports emerged that a doping sample taken from the Polish boxer after the fight was positive.

Mariusz Wach said: «as for my so-called samples. I claim not to have received any official documents about this. I did not use doping before the fight against Alexander Povetkin,» reports sport.pl.

«After publication I felt that once it comes to me, I will receive an official letter concerning this matter. Until today I any letters not received. Polish Federation of professional Boxing also has not received from the Russians any official information,» said the Viking.

«I want to emphasize that before the fight with Povetkin did not use any banned substances. This was my fight for freedom. The fee for the fight for my promoters, and I become a free fighter,» added the Polish boxer.

«I declare that it did not receive from the Russian side of the fee for the fight with Povetkin, and, as far as I know, my American promoters also money is not received,» — said Mariusz Wach.
