In the night of Sunday, June 4, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu went on an official visit to Liberia. There he will participate in the economic development conference of the West African countries. During the visit, Netanyahu will talk with the leaders of some African countries.
Before departure in Liberia, the head of the government said: «Tonight I go on a visit to Liberia at the invitation of the Economic community of West African countries. The first Chapter is not the African States invited to speak at this important forum. This visit will be a continuation of ongoing rapprochement between Israel and African countries. This is a direct continuation of the historic visit, which I conducted about a year ago in East Africa, during which I met with leaders of 7 countries. In Liberia, I will hold meetings with the heads of 10 countries in Central and West Africa. During the visit we will sign a joint agreement that will strengthen the foreign relations of Israel with the African continent. The visit to Liberia is yet another step in the fight against the automatic anti-Israel majority in the UN based on 54 African countries. This process can take years, but we are moving in the right direction.»
