Wednesday, December 30, the President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili signed a decree on appointing Giorgi Kvirikashvili to the post of Prime Minister. On the eve of the Parliament of Georgia by the majority of voters expressed confidence in the new government headed by Kvirikashvili, RIA Novosti reported.
In support of the new Prime Minister and a new government program voted 86 deputies, against – 28. The new government did not support the parliamentary opposition «United national movement» and «Free Democrats».
Almost all the Ministers remained from the previous Cabinet, the new people took only those positions, which left himself Kvirikashvili Vice Prime Minister became Minister of economy Dmitry Kumsishvili, and foreign Minister – first Deputy foreign Minister Mikhail Janelidze.
