The Nazareth district court accepted an appeal against the sentence imposed on 20-year-old student who, wanting to take her own life, played the attempted terrorist attack on bus station in Afula. According to the website Reshet.tv the court replaced a prison sentence of six months community service.
From the materials of the indictment, it follows that ASR Abad before the incident at the bus station in Afula made several unsuccessful suicide attempts. 9 October 2015 she arrived in Afula, armed with a knife with 19 cm blade. She wasn’t going to commit a terrorist act, but was intended to impersonate her so that she was killed in the attempted attack. She pulled out a knife and shouted towards the soldiers, «You are terrorists!» The guards believed that before them a terrorist and demanded to drop the knife to the ground, and when she refused to obey the order, was shot several times in legs.
