The results of the report prepared by the British organization Campaign Against Antisemitism, show that over the past two years the number of anti-Semitic incidents in the United Kingdom increased by 44%.
In this document, the National Antisemitic Crime Audit States that in 2016, the UK was committed 1.078 offences anti-Semitic, and every tenth case qualifies as violence.
In 2016, 89 crimes anti-Semitic nature (of 8.3%) led to indictment, and only 17 people have been punished. According to the Campaign Against Antisemitism, the police ignored about 48.9% of the reports of anti-Semitic crimes.
Among these crimes – the attempted arson of a kosher restaurant in Manchester, the persecution of Jews in London and marches supporters of Hizbullah in the streets of the British capital.
A year earlier the British courts had 12 anti-Semitic crimes, three of which qualified as the violence and 17 people were convicted.
In February of this year, the organization, the Community Security Trust, reported a kind of record – 1.309 anti-Semitic incidents for 2016, 36% more than in the previous year.
