32 people died in a fire at the oil platform in the Caspian sea, reported Reuters news Agency with reference to the trade Union of workers of the oil industry.
The head of the trade Union Mirvari Gahramanli informed the Agency that, according to him, killing 32 people. One worker told Reuters on condition of anonymity that in the time of the fire on the platform there were 84 people.
Oil company SOCAR, which owns the platform, has not commented on the information about the victims of the fire. Earlier it was reported that the victims on the platform.
Information Agency «Trend» reported that the rescue operation is underway, and already saved at least 25 people.
The fire started in the evening of 4 December. The rescue operation was hampered a violent storm in the area illuminated by the platform on the field «Guneshli».
