Sunday, November 27, Israeli President Reuven Rivlin telephoned President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan to thank him for providing the help to Israel in fighting forest fires.
According to Erdogan, he ordered the dispatch of fire brigades immediately after, as soon as he became aware of the outbreak in the Israel fires. «I hope and pray that all this is over,» said the leader of Turkey.
The press-service of office of Reuven Rivlin also said that during the telephone conversation, the Turkish President also spoke of Israel’s intention to impose a ban on use of loudspeakers in mosques. Erdogan once again asked to weigh the need for the adoption of the «law of the muezzin,» which is contrary to the principles of freedom of speech and freedom of religion.
