On Sunday morning, June 18, at the Temple mount in Jerusalem, riots broke out when Arab youths threw stones and firecrackers at the police, as well as towards Jews ascending to the mount.
According to reports radio station «Kan bet», several police officers received minor injuries.
Police arrested two rioters. Later they will stand trial, and the police will ask to extend the term of their detention.
Police reported that a visit to the Temple mount continue normally, despite the attempts of extremist elements to disrupt them by staging riots in the last days of Ramadan.
Jerusalem police remains on high alert after the attack, which occurred last Friday. Security forces fear the possibility of new terrorist attacks before the end of Ramadan.
