Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said the suspension of the Russian team from participation in the Paralympic games in Rio de Janeiro a violation of human rights, reports TASS.
«Massive and cynical, for it is directed against people with disabilities, violation of human rights. It’s amazing how maniacal persistence the West brings in the Russians contemptuous attitude towards it», – Rogozin wrote on his page on the social network Facebook.
Earlier, the court of arbitration for Sport (CAS) rejected a Russian appeal against the decision of the International Paralympic Committee (IPS), suspended Russian athletes from participation in the Paralympics in 2016, which will be held in Brazilian Rio de Janeiro from 7 to 18 September.
Recall that on 7 August the head of the International Paralympic Committee Philip Craven declared that Russian national team is not allowed to participate in the Paralympic games in Rio de Janeiro.
This decision was made based on the study data, report of independent Commission of the world anti-doping Agency (WADA), which was about the doping system, which worked in Russia at the state level.
