On the fourth day of anti-government protests, Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani has reacted to recent events in the country.
At the meeting of the Cabinet Hassan Rouhani said that in accordance with the Constitution, the citizens of Iran have the right to criticize the government and even to participate in the protests. But, according to him, the actions of the protesters should not lead to violence and damage to public property.
He noted that the government needed time to solve problems.
Iran’s President also reacted to the comment of the President of the United States Donald trump, who spoke in support of the protests. «We do not need the support of those who call Iranians «terrorists,» Rouhani was quoted by news Agency Fars.
