Russia will sign with Egypt a contract for the supply of helicopters Ka-52K and ship systems for the «Mistral», said in an interview with RIA Novosti General Director of «Rosoboronexport» Alexander Mikheev.
«Ships are necessary still in addition to retrofit systems to operate Russian helicopters. It will be a separate contract. We would like to sign this year, but much depends on the source of funding,» – said Mikheyev.
He stressed that «Mistral» is already part of the Navy of Egypt, so Cairo is interested to sign a contract as quickly as possible, so that ships could fully function.
