The court in Denver dismissed the lawsuit Eugene Vavrinyuk in the amount of one million dollars against the goalkeeper «Colorado avalanche» and the Russian team Semyon Varlamov, reports ESPN.
The jury sided with the athlete and ordered his ex-girlfriend to pay him 126 608 thousand dollars for court costs and damages. Jurors deliberated for about 6 hours.
The hockey player’s lawyers called the charges unfounded. Semyon Varlamov showed that after the party on Halloween she made a scene and tried to beat him. The head coach, «Colorado» Patrick Roy showed in court that Eugene was trying to put up a fight at the party.
