The evening of 28 March, Scotland Yard has issued a new statement about the investigation into the poisoning of a former officer of the GRU of the Russian Federation Sergei Skripal and his daughter Julia.
According to the statement, Skripal and his daughter suffered impact poisonous substance at his home in Salisbury. And the highest concentration of this substance was fixed on the front door. In other places in the house also found traces of this substance, but there its concentration is lower.
Scotland Yard stressed that the other inhabitants of Salisbury this toxic substance danger had not.
Police warn that the investigation could take several months as investigators will examine about 5,000 hours of video recordings of various cameras and test over 1,000 items collected as physical evidence.
66-year-old Sergei Skripal and his 33-year-old daughter Julia was poisoned on 4 March. Their condition remains extremely serious.
Earlier it was suggested that Skripal and his daughter could be hit with poison gas when you unpack the baggage of Julia, who came to England from Moscow.
British media reported that Skripal and his daughter was poisoned by chemical warfare agents nerve agents «Beginner», which was developed in the USSR.
